- A sale shinnslist holds for a Boulder County parcel matched the county’s own record 13 times out of 13 checked; but some parcels have a county sale our data is missing (5 of 10 checked), so a missing sale is never read as “no sale”.
- Larimer County publishes only the last seven years of sales, so a parcel with no sale there has been held at least that long (8 of 8 checked).
- Sales our data held for Larimer parcels did not appear in the county’s own sales record (2 of 2 checked), so a Larimer sale is never shown as a fact.

How does shinnslist know how long someone has owned a home?
From the last recorded sale in the county’s records. Boulder County’s sales matched shinnslist’s data 13 times out of 13 checked. Larimer County publishes seven years of sales, so there shinnslist can only say a parcel has not sold in at least seven years.
Why do long-held homes matter?
Owners who have held a long time often have more equity and more reasons to move. That is a reason to look, not proof that they will sell.
